Our ambassador Yuko Nakai won the women’s title in 3:19:24 at the 45th Annual Maui Marathon, and fifth place overall. Yuko has also claimed the last two Maui Oceanfront Marathon titles, and was this year’s Kona Marathon winner. On an article for Maui News Yuko said: “I’m very, very happy. Usually there are a lot of faster people from the Mainland and Japan running this marathon, but not this year. Conditions were very good compared to last year – tailwind at first and then headwind. The aid station people really, really helped me, encouraged me.”
Yuko we are proud of you! Great job!!!

The first event of the BioAstin Race Readiness Series was a huge success with over 1,000 runners enjoying the 15k race! The Boca Hawaii and 808 race team did a fantastic job putting on the event that started at Kapiolani Park and traversed around Diamond head and Kahala giving runners some stunning views during the challenging event. This was the first event in the 5 race series where the distance gets just a bit longer with each passing event. We hope to see you at the next BioAstin Race Readiness series event on September 6th at the Runners HI 20k!
We are also proud to welcome big wave pro surfer Makua Rothman to our Professional Team.
